Candidate Experience SMS

Bulk SMS: Text a Group of Contacts Straight from the People Grid

You can now select contacts in the People grid and send them an SMS in bulk, from the same modal you use to send bulk emails. Until now, bulk SMS was only available by building a campaign in the Campaigns module.

Why it matters

SMS reaches candidates who are slow to respond to email. Once you've found a group of people in the People grid, you can check in with them or invite them to apply by text, without stopping to set up a campaign first.

Good to know

  • SMS must be enabled for your organization, and you need an SMS number assigned to your user account. If you don't have a number assigned, bulk SMS won't appear as an option.
  • Credits apply to every message segment you send. Using emojis switches the message encoding and drops the character limit per credit from 160 to 70.
  • If a contact replies STOP, they're unsubscribed from all campaign marketing messages (SMS campaigns, email campaigns and bulk messages) and from 1:1 SMS from that number.
  • Bulk Action and Bulk Message send limits both apply. Accounts are typically capped at 100 Bulk Messages.
  • Once you have set a message to SMS, you can add additional SMS touch points but you cannot mix email and SMS touch points in Bulk SMS. This is only available when sent as a Campaign.

Availability: All customers with SMS Campaigns enabled and users with a phone number assigned to their account. If you'd like SMS campaigns turned on, speak to your CSM.

Work Architecture Role Status

Role Status: Skills Suggesters Can Now Flag Roles for Review

Skills Suggesters can now move a role from Pending to Flagged. Skills Admins can then review the flagged role and approve it.

Why it matters

Skills Suggesters make the day-to-day edits and Skills Admins approve them. Until now, a Skills Suggester couldn't change a role's status, so there was no way to signal to an admin that a role was ready for review. Flagging gives Skills Suggesters that signal and shows Skills Admins exactly which roles need their attention.

Good to know

  • Role status only moves forward: Pending → Flagged → Approved, or Pending → Approved.
  • A flagged role can't be moved back to Pending.

Availability: All Work Architecture customers.

Work Architecture Skills

Skill Types: See How Each Skill Is Categorized While You Review Roles

Skill type now shows alongside skills in the Role view panel and on the Role comparison page, so you can see which category a skill falls into without leaving the role you're working on.

Why it matters

When you're validating the skills on a role, the skill type is part of deciding whether a skill belongs there. Previously, it wasn't visible across the platform. Now it's in front of you at each point where you review or add skills.

Where you'll see it

  • Role view panel. In the skill modal and the skill pop-up.
  • Role comparison. When you add a skill from the skill role view, in the skill pop-up, and in the skill table when you add skills to roles with the + Skill button.

Availability: All Work Architecture customers.
