Why should you use a Custom Email Domain?

Setting up custom email domains allows Beamery to be an approved sender. It creates a way for users to send email messages through Beamery that appear to be directly from your organization. Appropriate configuration of custom email domains helps to build trust between you, Beamery, your candidates’ email provider and, ultimately, your candidates. This increases deliverability and the chance of your emails being opened. 

Why are Branded Links important?

In short, deliverability. Spam filters and recipient servers scan links within emails to determine if an email appears trustworthy enough to deliver. The root domain of a link carries a footprint and a reputation across the internet. Implementing branded links helps in email deliverability because you are no longer relying on click tracking going through a domain that you do not control.

How do branded links work?

Beamery replaces all the hyperlinks in your emails with special URLs designed to track clicks. This information is surfaced in reports like Campaign Touchpoint Analytics within Beamery.

How to set up a Custom Domain in Beamery Settings

1. Navigate to Beamery Settings
2. In the Email Settings section, click Custom Domain
3. Click on the Add Your Domain button
4. Provide Sub-domain and Domain. (For sub-domain we suggest to use “beam” or “beamery”, because it will be useful for you to differentiate demand records in the DNS settings)
5. Click on Connect Domains
6. You will be presented with automatically generated records that now need to be added to your company’s DNS provider. Please connect with your IT department as they will have access to your DNS host to perform the changes. Once all information is correctly added, please come back to the same page and click the Verify button.
7. If everything was configured properly on your DNS provider side, you should be presented with a successful verification message.
   Please note the Inbound Parse values in the next section will be generated automatically based on your verified domain. You can always customize this section by using the  Add host button or delete icon next to each entry.
8. If you wish to add more custom email domains, please click the “Add another domain” button and follow the above instruction. 
9. In case of multiple domains added, you can also decide which domain should be a default one. This can be achieved by simply clicking on the 3 dot menu next to a domain entry and choosing the “Make default” option. 
   

How to set up Branded Tracking Links in Beamery Settings

1. Navigate to Beamery Settings
2. In the Email Settings section, click Branded Tracking Links
3. Click on the Add a Branded Links button
4. Provide Sub-domain and Domain. (For sub-domain we suggest to use “beam” or “beamery”, because it will be useful for you to differentiate demand records in your DNS settings)
5. Click on Add Link 
6. You will be presented with automatically generated records that now need to be added to your company’s DNS provider. Please connect with your IT department as they will have access to your DNS host to perform the changes. Once all information is correctly added, please come back to the same page and click the Verify button.
7. If everything was configured properly on your DNS provider side, you should be presented with a successful verification message.
