New Products & Core Workflow Improvements

Updates in the table below will be going live in user environments in February 2025, unless otherwise specified.

Product Area Feature Description Sandbox Date Prod Date
Talent Experience
Smart Profile

Over the next couple of months we are making a number of UX and UI Improvements to the Header, Tabs, and Workspaces of the Profile. A demo of the new profile experience will be added to the Release Notes ahead of the Sandbox launch.

Header:

  • The profile header has been updated into a full header covering the entirety of the profile, providing users with a more unified experience and reducing the number of clicks needed to complete certain tasks.
  • Information is now displayed in clickable chips, removing the need to navigate to the ‘More’ menu to select options. Email addresses and location remain clickable, and users can see the modal where they add or edit the respective contact information.
  • The contact details and tags have been moved to a more prominent position on the profile and contact details can be clicked to initiate messaging.
  • The layout and location of tabs and workspaces are unchanged, workspace icons remain on the right and don’t interfere with the columns consistency.

Tabs:

  • There are a number of small improvements to all the sections within the Overview tab, with a focus on reducing clicks to perform actions. You’ll notice new ‘edit’ buttons, direct links to Knowledge Articles and improved usability of the Experience and Language sections.
  • We’re introducing the Resume tab, where a preview of the resume is available without leaving Beamery. This includes PDF files as well as DOC and DOCX, addressing a frequent user ask. We’ve added the ‘count’ to the tab to help users understand if there’s a resume to preview. If there are no resumes to preview, users will see `Add resume` as the tab header. Only the most recently uploaded resume is previewed, ensuring users are focusing on up to date data.

Workspaces:

The UI of the existing workspaces have been updated to bring the design in line with the rest of the Beamery platform, and allow users to act, rather than just consume. In addition, we have added new workspaces to the profile: Hiring hub and Campaigns.

  • Hiring hub shows all crucial recruitment details at a glance. There’s no longer a need to navigate to the pools or vacancies workspace to understand which pools the contact is in. The links to view more details will direct users to the respective workspaces to complete actions without having to move away from the profile. Status shows the stage in recruiting, and can be synced with ATS.
  • Campaigns shows details of all scheduled campaigns for the contact. Users can manage the contact’s campaigns from within the workspace.

The Inbox and Notes experiences within the profile are being updated next month with dedicated workspaces and inline editing capabilities further reducing clicks to complete actions:

  • Inbox and Notes are now in the workspaces area to allow you to write your messages and notes without losing visibility of important profile details in the overview or resume previews.
  • We have also added a Rich Text Editor to notes replies on the Smart Profile. Users are now able to reply to notes using the Rich Text Editor, including any formatting options, bringing profile notes in line with the wider notes experience.

Recipes

We have updated the Recipes 'Create/Edit' flow UI to bring the design in line with the rest of the Beamery platform, increase accessibility, and improve the user experience. Functionality of the page remains the same.

We have also made a number of improvements to the Recipes backend engine, users should experience more consistent and improved processing times for recipe workflows.

Talent Acquisition
Vacancy Calibration

We have added Company and Industry Context fields to Vacancy Calibration. Users will be able to select a preferred company size and one or more industries alongside the existing parameters in Vacancy Calibration.

Selecting industries or company size will influence which suggested contacts are recommended and how they are ranked via Match Score. By default (and currently), Talent Match rates candidates who have a similar company size and industry experience as the customer. This change allows users to specify which company size or industries to prefer.

We have updated the 'Create' and 'Edit' vacancies screen to bring the design in line with the rest of the Beamery platform, increase accessibility, and improve the user experience. Functionality remains the same.

We have made a number of further minor UI changes to improve the Vacancy Calibration experience.

The 'cancel', 'save' and 'update', and 'save and exit' buttons have been moved to the top so they’re easier to access. We have also made it clearer when skills are added, and added a button to remove all skills.

Beamery Extension

**Updated 11th Feb**

As we prepare to launch our LinkedIn CRM-Connect integration and enhance the overall experience of using Beamery with LinkedIn, we are making some further changes to the Beamery Extension.

On Feb 17th we will be deprecating two extension functionalities:

  1. The Bexa icon (Beamery logo overlay) will disappear from all websites, whether users are working in LinkedIn Public or LinkedIn recruiter. Users will need to open the Beamery Extension from the browser task bar.
  2. On LinkedIn Recruiter, users looking at a candidate will no longer be able to automatically see if there is a matching Beamery Contact profile in the Extension. Instead, users can click to open the candidate’s public LinkedIn profile in a new tab, then open the Beamery Extension in this new tab to automatically see if the candidate already exists in your CRM.

Meanwhile, all Extension users will still be able to:

  • Manually create a contact and add it to the Beamery CRM. The full name and LinkedIn profile URL will be auto-populated if users upload resumes via our pdf parsing functionality.
  • Edit a Beamery Contact directly from the Extension.
  • Search for a Contact by name, email, or social link.
  • On LinkedIn Public only (see above for LinkedIn Recruiter), users will maintain the ability to automatically see the existing Beamery Contact profile when viewing a candidate (matching based on LinkedIn URL).

See here for a training course on using the extension in LinkedIn Public and LinkedIn Recruiter.

We will continue to provide customers with any news and updates on our upcoming LinkedIn CRM-Connect integration, please feel free to reach out to your CSM if you would like more details.

Workforce Intelligence SAP Integration

Our Beamery / SAP SuccessFactors Integration has been updated with Candidate PUSH functionality.

Customers using SAP SuccessFactors will be able to create or update Candidate details in the ATS from Beamery, by creating a trigger in Recipes.

See here for more details on how it works, and please reach out to your CSM for support with enablement, or if you would like any more information on our integrations.
