Say you have a role to fill and you created a Pool for a similar role a while back. You can use this Pool to find candidates for the role you now need to source for. While you may have ruled out the candidates in that Pool during the interview process, on paper they are exactly what you’re looking for. After all, there’s a reason you added them to the Pool in the first place! Follow these steps to use Suggested Contacts to capitalize on the work you’ve already done, and save yourself time in the process.
- Find the Pool that you previously used to source candidates. You can continue to use this Pool to find new candidates for this role. If you don’t have a Pool like this but do have a similar previous vacancy, you can create a new Pool, and then use a bulk action to add all of the candidates who reached the “Interview” stage in the vacancy to your new Pool.
- In this Pool, click on ‘Suggested Contacts’ and you will be presented with a list of suggested contacts who are likely to be a good fit for your Pool based on the previously relevant contacts that are already in the Pool. For more information on how Suggested Contacts comes up with suggestions, see this article.
- Add or dismiss contacts from this list. As you do this, Suggested Contacts will learn more about what you’re looking for, and the suggestions will become more refined.
Using Suggested Contacts to capitalize on the sourcing work you’ve done in the past is easy and efficient, allowing you to spend your time on more important things, like nurturing relationships with the great candidates that you’ve found!
