Tracking Convert Flows with Third Party Analytics

Last Updated:

Convert Flows are useful tools for event registration, learning more about candidates and maintaining up-to-date data. Tracking Convert Flow metrics can help organizations understand usage and conversion rates allowing you to improve on Flows with low conversion and replicate those with high conversion. Read on to learn how to use third party tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag manager to better track your Convert Flows.

Adding Your Keys

Convert Flows support Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM). Organizations can add their own keys for these in Settings under the Company Settings tab.

If you use another analytics tool, such as Adobe Analytics, you can make use of Google Tag Manager to inject custom code into the page, via which you can load your preferred choice of analytics tool.

Analytics Events

Convert flow sends events as Google Analytics events, as well as JavaScript events. This means that the events will appear in Google Analytics with no additional setup required. If you are using another analytics tool injected by Google Tag Manager, you may wish to listen for the native Javascript event, or you may wish to use Google Tag Manager to pass the event to your preferred analytics tool.

Below are the events Convert Flow sends:

beamery-convert-form-submission-success event is fired when a form is successfully submitted (i.e. there are no validation errors) by a candidate. This allows you to collect analytics of successful Convert submissions, which provides a much more reliable metric than counting every click on the Submit button.

By using the analytics events provided by Convert Flows, you can achieve more relevant reporting on not only the visits to your Convert flows, but also the conversion to successful form submissions.
