Learn how filtering and ranking work in Applicant review, and how it relates to Suggested Contacts.
Reviewing applicants the same way you find them
Applicant review uses the same filtering and ranking as Suggested Contacts, but applied to the people who have already applied to a vacancy. Start by opening a vacancy where you'll land on your applicants, ranked and ready to filter.
It works in two steps, the same way as Suggested contacts:
The filters selected decide who's highlighted. Apply any combination of filters to narrow the list to what matters for the selected role.
Talent Match ranks the fit. Applicants are ordered by how strong a match they are to the role, with the strongest at the top, based on the definitions in the Vacancies Calibration.
Getting started
Open a vacancy and go to View Applicants.
The stage funnel on the left shows your vacancy's stages, "All applicants" is the default view and merges every stage together. Choose a stage to narrow the list. Apply filters from the panel on the right in the same way you would in Suggested contacts. Filters here are scoped to this vacancy and are never applied automatically. Turn on filters to apply them each time you open a new Vacancy.
Prefer the previous applicant view? Use the in-page toggle to switch back at any time.
Every applicant is shown
Applicant review with the filter toggled off shows all applicants. Applicants who don't have enough information on their profile to be scored are still shown, they sort to the bottom of the list labelled "could not be ranked". No applicant is removed from view by ranking, scoring or filtering, and no applicant is auto-rejected.
The filters available
The same filters found in Suggested contacts: job role, years of experience, company, location, skill, experience keyword, degree, certification and language. See Using Suggested Contacts for how each filter works, including how to use IS / IS NOT and OR / AND.
One filter is different here: Open vacancy stage. This filter typically looks across all Vacancies, and isn't available in applicant review. The list of applicants is already anchored to the vacancy's stage via the funnel on the left, so it isn't needed.
Match score visibility
If your Beamery account has been configured to hide match scores in Suggested contacts, they're hidden here too. Settings for this carry over automatically and nothing needs to be reconfigured.
