SMS open rates average around 95%. With Beamery SMS Campaigns, users can reach candidates who may be less responsive to traditional email in bulk. Using Campaigns, users can send a one-to-many SMS campaign directly from the Beamery platform in the same workflow as Email Campaigns. This unlocks scheduled, multi-channel touches while keeping all key interactions in the Beamery candidate profile. Users can also send SMS only campaigns, making it easier to engage with more candidates and improve candidate response rates.
Creating an SMS Campaign
For users with SMS Campaigns activated, multi-channel Campaigns (email and SMS) as well as single or multi-touch, bulk, SMS only campaigns can be accessed from the Campaigns module. Start by creating a new campaign or accessing an existing one.
- Select between sending Email or SMS touchpoints
- Create SMS content which will bring up the edit message window
- Add additional touchpoints (either SMS or Email)
Users must have SMS assigned to their account to use SMS Campaigns. If they do not, SMS will not be an option or it will say “No number assigned”
Bulk SMS Content Creation

Add Variables, a Meeting Scheduler link, or emojis to messages as you would any plain text Campaign message.
Using emojis in SMS switches encoding from GSM-7 to Unicode (UCS-2), reducing the maximum character limit per credit from 160 to 70 characters.

Beamery Click Tracking
All URLs added in the text editor are automatically converted to individualized, personalized links for message recipients. This enables Beamery to track click rates and aggregate engagement analytics. Each recipient will receive their own custom URL by way of custom string at the end of each URL. Links will be supported for 12 months before expiring.
For example:
The custom URL tracking service will change all links to the Beamery Click Tracking subdomain: For example: www.exampledomain.com/careers will become https://www.ct.beamery.com/#1234.
In order for the tracking to work, links must be formatted with one of the following prefixes:
https://www.exampledomain.com/careers
http://www.exampledomain.com/careers
www.exampledomain.com/careers
Domains entered as exampledomain.com/careers will not be converted into trackable source links.
Add Recipients and Touches
Adding recipients to a bulk SMS campaign as well as creating additional touchpoints follows the same process as adding email recipients as outlined here.
Consent / Opt out
If a Candidate replys STOP to SMS messages (bulk or single messages) the contact will unsubscribed from all campaign marketing messages (SMS campaigns, email campaigns & bulk messages) as well as from 1:1 direct SMS from that number. Candidates can still be reached directly through 1:1 emails or from other numbers saved on their contact profile.
