How to Create and Manage Global Tags

Global Tags in Beamery are a tagging system that allows you to adopt consistent tagging across candidates in your database, making it easy to search and filter based on tagged attributes. Global Tags can be applied to profiles, pools and vacancies in Beamery. 

Please note that Global Tags can only be added, edited, and removed from Beamery by users with the Super Admin permission level.

How to Create a Global Tag

The below steps will guide you through the actions required to create a new Global Tag in Beamery. 

  1. First, navigate to Settings by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

  2.  Select Global Tags from the Settings menu, under the Customize Beamery heading.
  3. At the bottom of the Global Tags page, click Edit Global Tags.
  4. Next, click + Add Global Tag, which will create a space for you to enter a new Global Tag at the bottom of the list.
  5. Enter the name of the Global Tag you wish to create, being sure to follow any naming conventions your organization has decided to use. 
  6. If you wish to add another Global Tag, click the + Add Global Tag again. You can repeat this to create as many new Global Tags as you wish.
  7. When you have finished adding Global Tags to the list, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

  8. You have now saved your new Global Tag(s), and they will become available for users to add to profiles, vacancies and pools.

How to Edit a Global Tag

The below steps will guide you through the actions required to edit a Global Tag in Beamery. 

  1. First, navigate to Settings by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

  2.  Select Global Tags from the Settings menu, under the Customize Beamery heading.
  3. At the bottom of the Global Tags page, click Edit Global Tags.
  4. Next, locate the Global Tag you would like to edit, click on it and make your desired changes to the text. 
  5. If you would like to edit more than one Global Tag, repeat step 4 as necessary. 
  6. Once you have finished editing your Global Tags, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button.
  7. Now, any edits you have made to Global Tags will be reflected when users add these tags to profiles, pools or vacancies in Beamery.  

How to Delete a Global Tag

The below steps will guide you through the actions required to delete a Global Tag in Beamery. 

  1. First, navigate to Settings by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

  2.  Select Global Tags from the Settings menu, under the Customize Beamery heading.
  3. At the bottom of the Global Tags page, click Edit Global Tags.
  4. Next, locate the Global Tag that you would like to remove, and click Remove.
  5. Then, confirm that you would like to remove the Global Tag by clicking delete.

  6. If you would like to remove more than one Global Tag, repeat steps 4 & 5 as necessary.

  7. Once you have finished removing your Global Tags, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the Save Changes button.

  8. Now, the Global Tags you have deleted will be removed from any profiles, vacancies and pools that they had previously been applied to, and will no longer be available when users add Global Tags to profiles, pools or vacancies in Beamery.

Global Tags in Beamery allow users a way to tag profiles, pools and vacancies with one centralised tagging system that is managed by Super Admin users. Well maintained Global Tagging systems make it easy to search and filter through profiles, pools and vacancies based on the attributes that have been tagged.
