Overview

The integration offer authentication based on an x509 key pair, rather than a password. This page will help you configure the x509 cert that was generate by the integration consultant on the project.

Configure x509 cert on Workday

• Configure Web Service Security in Workday. Select the Beamery integration service user

• Create the x509 public key
• Select the option to `Create x509 Public Key`. Ensure you check the box titled ‘Enable X509 Token Authentication’
• Paste the public key into the Certificate box and give it a name:

• Confirm the changes by clicking OK
• Ensure in the Authentication Policy report, the Allowed Authentication Types includes X509. You can do this by searching for 'Manage Authentication Policies' and then editing the applicable authentication policy: 

• Be sure to then search 'Activate All Pending Authentication Policy Changes' and select the task. You should get a screen like the one below. Enter a comment regarding your changes and then click ok.

• Finally, check the box and click ok again (see screenshot below for example)
