Beamery’s partnership with LinkedIn has delivered a fundamental change in how the two platforms coexist. LinkedIn CRM Connect is allowing recruiters and sourcers to focus on outcomes - limiting time spent doing tons of outreach and hoping for the best. Instead you can expect to see higher quality talent with firsthand data from candidates themselves and LinkedIn.
CRM Connect is the official integration, developed with LinkedIn, to bring your teams the most reliable data. When viewing a Beamery candidate profile, users will know at a glance if the profile is up-to-date or needs to be refreshed. Read on to learn how this sophisticated integration is managed.

LinkedIn Onboarding and Historical Data Sync
Before you can use CRM Connect, the integration must first be authorized and the data synced. Step-by-step instructions for this set-up can be found here.
Viewing Beamery Profiles in LinkedIn Recruiter
Once the integration has been enabled and your Beamery data synced with LinkedIn, an additional tab for CRM can be found when viewing a profile in LinkedIn Recruiter.
Click on this tab to see a breakdown of the contact’s pipelines, history, profile, and more. Notice updates to a LinkedIn profile that aren’t reflected in your Beamery candidate profile? You can keep your candidate profile up-to-date by simply clicking “Export to CRM” (1) and filling in any additional fields (2). You’ll get an overview of the fields that will be exported to your Beamery CRM, then click Export (3).
1-Click export from LinkedIn will include the following fields:
- First name
- Last name
- Profile URL
- Headline
- Location
- Source (“LinkedIn”)
- Notes (if manually entered by the recruiter into the Notes field in the Export to your CRM window)
- Education
- Experience, including the last 2 experiences only.
- Top 3 skills, including the 2 most recent “highlighted skills” if available
- Years of experience
- Email(s), if manually entered by the recruiter into the Candidate email field in the Export to your CRM window
The latest updates from the candidate’s LinkedIn profile are now available in your Beamery CRM.
The number of profile exports from LinkedIn is limited to 300 per user per month.
Viewing LinkedIn Profiles in Beamery
The Beamery Candidate Profile will have a new LinkedIn tab as well. Here you will find a consolidated view of the LinkedIn profile as well as all recent recruiting activities from LinkedIn Recruiter.
Ensure that you are logged into LinkedIn with an account with a Recruiter License. Beamery users without a LinkedIn Recruiter License will need to follow the Beamery Extension workflows for creating and updating Beamery contact profiles.

- Unlink a LinkedIn profile from a Beamery contact
- Open a LinkedIn profile in LinkedIn Recruiter
- Add the contact to a public Pool or Vacancy
- Send and log and InMail to the contact
- View LinkedIn profile or LinkedIn Recruiter activities

No Matching Candidate
If a candidate is not able to be synced with LinkedIn, you will see this notice.
This happens when there is incorrect or insufficient information on the Beamery Contact Profile to match with a profile in LinkedIn.
