Update to Beamery's Authentication Solution

We’re updating Beamery’s authentication system by migrating from our current proprietary solution to a new, secure platform provided by Auth0.

What’s Changing

  • Most changes will happen behind the scenes. However, there will be minor updates to the login interface:

    • For users logging in via email and password, the login flow will move to a two-step process: first entering an email, then the password.

    • For SSO users, the login interface will remain familiar with no impact to existing login URLs or workflows.

  • Auth0 is already included in Beamery’s Subprocessor List (2024), so there are no contractual updates or additional privacy notifications required.

Why This Change Matters

  • Auth0 is maintained by security experts and kept up to date with the latest security standards and protocols.

  • Over time, this migration will allow us to offer new capabilities like multi-factor authentication (MFA) and simplified user provisioning.

  • Auth0 already powers our OAuth 2.0-based integrations, making it a natural choice to support secure, scalable authentication across the platform.

Timeline

  • We’ll begin migrating customers to the new system starting in September.

  • We’ll provide customers with a specific migration date closer to the time.

Next Steps

For SSO customers:
  • Please engage your IT team and share with us:

    • Which SAML Identity Provider you use with Beamery.

    • Whether your IdP requires a non-expired Service Provider certificate (our current one expires mid-September).

For username-and-password customers:
  • No immediate action is required. We’ll be in touch with your migration timeline.

If you have any questions or would like further clarification about this migration, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your CSM.

Updates to the 'Reports' Section
We're making some important improvements to enhance your reporting experience. As part of these improvements, our legacy 'Reports' will be deprecated by the end of May. We have already released our new new in-app reporting suite which replaces the reports from within the legacy section:

  • Campaigns has been replaced by Campaign Insights
  • User Activity has been replaced by User Insights
  • Vacancy Pipeline has been replaced by the Vacancy Attribution report (more improvements coming soon)
  • Pages & Forms is also being deprecated eventually but will remain for May.
  • Time Delta Metrics (TDM) - In January we also removed the ability to create new TDM reports whilst keeping the ability to view existing ones. As the Vacancy Attribution Report now includes the ability to track conversion rates across several vacancy stages, we will be removing TDM functionality entirely as part of the May deprecation.

Explore our reporting suite for access to many other exciting new features as we look forward to providing you with even better insights and usability. Stay tuned for more updates, and please reach out if you have any questions!
