Removal of Smart Search

Beamery is sunsetting the Recipes Smart Search feature from the CRM. This feature is only live for a subset of customers under the guidance that Beamery would not be investing further into this feature. Beamery have analyzed the feature's usage patterns over the last 90 days and found that this feature was not adopted by any users and as such have decided not to continue supporting it.

By removing the Smart Search, Beamery will be able to invest development time into features that bring the most value to users. 

All searching in Recipes will now be traditional text string search and filters.

Removal of Company Feed

Beamery is sunsetting the Company Feed feature from the CRM. Beamery has conducted a review of usage patterns to provide users with the best experience possible and we have found that the Company Feed created a noisy space rather than delivering tangible value to customers. 

By removing the Company Feed, Beamery will be able to declutter user's dashboards and invest in features that bring the most value to users. 

All other notifications (My notifications and @ Mentions) will remain unchanged. There will be no third party/contractual changes needed for this change and no configuration changes required. 

Update to Beamery's Authentication Solution 

We’re updating Beamery’s authentication system by migrating from our current proprietary solution to a new, secure platform provided by Auth0.

 

What’s Changing

• Most changes will happen behind the scenes. However, there will be minor updates to the login interface:

  • For users logging in via email and password, the login flow will move to a two-step process: first entering an email, then the password. 

  • For SSO users, the login interface will remain familiar with no impact to existing login URLs or workflows.

• Auth0 is already included in Beamery’s Subprocessor List (2024), so there are no contractual updates or additional privacy notifications required.

Why This Change Matters

• Auth0 is maintained by security experts and kept up to date with the latest security standards and protocols.

• Over time, this migration will allow us to offer new capabilities like multi-factor authentication (MFA) and simplified user provisioning.

• Auth0 already powers our OAuth 2.0-based integrations, making it a natural choice to support secure, scalable authentication across the platform.

Timeline

• We’ll begin migrating customers to the new system starting in September.

• We’ll provide customers with a specific migration date closer to the time.

• Please be advised that the legacy Beamery SSO service provider will be deprecated on 28th November this year.
