How to Create a New Beamery Profile from Workday
Before following these steps, you will need to install the Beamery Extension. Then, follow these steps to create a Beamery Profile from Workday:
- Navigate to a contact profile in Workday, and open the Beamery extension by clicking the Beamery icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- When the Extension opens, you will see that the contact’s name and email address have been pulled from Workday into the Beamery Extension automatically.
- If you would like to, enter information into the Company field, update the Source for the candidate, and enter a Status. You can also use BeamAssist to apply preset selections to the profiles you add to Beamery from Workday.
- Now, click Beam It to create the new Beamery Profile, or, if you have a resume for the contact, drag and drop this file onto the file upload area and the Beamery Profile will be automatically created.
- The Beamery Profile that you have created will contain a link to the contact’s profile in Workday under Links. This allows you to easily move between Profiles in Beamery and Workday.
How to Push Attachments / Resumes from Beamery to Workday
Attachments will appear in the "Resume/CoverLetter" section of the candidate profile in Workday.
Only unique attachments will push to Workday. If the same file already exists in Workday, with the same name and content, the attachment will not push. Attachments will be pushed to the prospect & application profiles in Workday. The max file size for attachment push is 10MB.

- Merging contacts in Beamery does not initiate a push to Workday.
- New Beamery attachments will sync to Workday with new applications or any field update within Beamery.
- To push attachments (resumes) from Beamery into Workday, you must first enable permissions in Workday.
How to Update an Existing Beamery Profile from Workday
Before following these steps, you will need to install the Beamery Extension. Then, follow these steps to create a Beamery Profile from Workday:
- Navigate to a contact profile in Workday, and open the Beamery extension by clicking the Beamery icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- If the contact already exists in Beamery, you will see a banner at the top of the Extension letting you know. Below this, you will see the contact’s Profile in the Beamery Extension.
- To update the information on a contact’s profile, or add the contact to a Pool, Vacancy or Campaign in Beamery, click on a specific area within the Summary, Fields or Custom tabs to make and save changes.
- To log an activity on the Beamery Profile timeline, or add a task related to this Profile, head to the Related tab, and click the relevant button.

To add a file, for example a resume, to the Beamery Profile, open the Files tab in the Extension and drag and drop the file onto the file upload area.
