The Beamery Extension is a powerful sourcing tool that allows you to add new candidates to your CRM and make updates to existing candidate profiles directly from web pages and social media profiles.
Incorporating the Beamery Extension into your candidate sourcing process allows you to quickly and easily add a candidate’s contact information, education, experience, resume, and more to Beamery as soon as you find it, without ever leaving their social profile.
Using the Beamery Extension automates the manual contact creation process and can save you a lot of time. When using the Beamery Extension, you can add candidates to Pools, apply Global Tags, and add them to Campaigns right from the Extension. What this means is you can begin nurturing relationships with candidates as soon as you find their profiles.
You can download the Beamery Extension on the Google Chrome Store, here. To install the Beamery Extension, just click ‘Add to Chrome’ from this page, and then click ‘Add Extension’ in the pop-up window that appears.
The Beamery Extension was first released in March 2017.

Getting to Know the Beamery Extension
The Beamery Extension can be used over most web pages and social profiles to add candidate profiles to Beamery, or update existing Beamery profiles. The Beamery Extension is can be used on the public version of LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter Lite and LinkedIn Recruiter. This means that you can view existing contacts, add new contacts and use features like BeamAssist and AutoPilot when using LinkedIn Recruiter. However, LinkedIn Campaigns are not supported by the Beamery extension.
To open the extension over a webpage, click the Beamery Icon in your Chrome taskbar. Note that to use the Beamery Extension, you will need to be logged into the Beamery app.
The Extension can be closed by clicking this icon again, but note that you do not need to close the Extension as you move from one social profile to another. The extension will reload automatically on most social sites, including public LinkedIn, but you may need to re-open the extension when using LinkedIn Recruiter Lite.
Using Recruiter Mode with the Beamery Extension
Recruiter Mode for the Beamery Extension allows you to minimize the Extension to an icon state which you can drag around the screen, allowing you to position it in a place that is convenient for you. The outside edge of the icon acts as a status indicator for activities in progress, and the icon will alert you with messages, statuses and updates at key points in your sourcing workflows.

While AutoPilot is working you will see the below screen in the Extension, and will see AutoPilot work through adding each of the contacts in the list.

g. No, resume AutoPilot link - This link will return you to the AutoPilot screen, where you can continue to create contacts using AutoPilot.
Logging InMails using the Beamery Extension
The Beamery Extension can be used to automatically log InMails you send to candidates. This allows a candidate’s Beamery profile to be an accurate source of truth for your communication history with the candidate, making it easy to collaborate with your colleagues and provide a seamless candidate experience.
Once Auto-Logging is enabled, InMails sent to candidates will be automatically logged on the timeline of the candidate profile in Beamery.
Find out more about automatically logging InMails in this article.
Using Email Finder in the Beamery Extension
Email Finder for the Beamery Extension uses publicly available information to automatically add email addresses to profiles you create using the Beamery Extension, ensuring data completeness and making it easier for you to communicate with candidates.
Note that Email Finder is currently in alpha.
Each time you create a new contact using the Extension on LinkedIn, Email Finder for the Extension scans publicly available data to find email addresses associated with the LinkedIn profile, and adds any email addresses it finds to the Beamery Profile automatically. This happens in the background each time you create a contact, so there’s no extra steps to take, just extra candidate information!
Email finder also works when you use AutoPilot with the Beamery Extension. Similarly to when you create a single contact, Email Finder works automatically in the background to add publicly available email addresses for the contact to each Beamery Profile as it is created.
In Summary…
The Beamery Extension is a powerful tool that makes your sourcing experience efficient and easy, allowing you to add new candidates to your CRM and update existing candidate profiles, all without leaving a candidate’s social media profile!
