This article will guide you step by step on how to import your attribute library data into SAP TIH after receiving it to your SAP SFTP from Beamery.
Pre-requisites
- Customers must have (or in the process of) Talent Intelligence Hub enabled on their SAP Tenant.
- Customers must have an associated SFTP account to their TIH Tenant.
- The Customer’s SFTP account must be whitelisted to be used by the customer’s SAP TIH company.
- The Customer must provide Beamery with a technical point of contact (in house SAP SME) to liaise with throughout the integration process.
- The Customer must share the connection details and credentials of their SFTP account with Beamery to enable upload and download of files from the specific folders in the SFTP account.
Process Diagram
This article focuses on Step 3 in the diagram below:
Steps
1) To create new integration pipeline for Attributes import we first need to download an Integration Center Definition (.icd extension) file with name ‘Talent Intelligence Hub Attribute Import’ from SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub Library Import Templates
2) Log into SAP and search for ‘Integration Center’ (Search Bar is at the top of the page), open ‘My Integrations’. Click Create -> ‘Import an Integration Definition’ and upload the .icd file downloaded from the previous step.
3) Follow the setup wizard, set name and description of the integration pipeline and click Next.
4) Keep the default schema of the import file and click Next.
5) Configure SFTP server and file/folder details to fetch the Attribute data from:
- SFTP host address and port
- Authentication Type - Basic Authentication
- SFTP user name and password
- File name prefix - BMRAttributeImport
- Data Suffix Format - None
- File Extension - CSV
- File Folder - /BMR/outgoing [ensure the SFTP has this empty folder]
- Processing Folder - /BMR/processing [ensure the SFTP has this empty folder]
- Advanced Settings - We can skip this section
Then click Next.
6) You can keep the schedule as ‘Suspended/Not Scheduled’ as you will manually run this integration after setting it up. Click Next
7) Click on Run Now.
8) The above step will trigger a job which can be checked by opening 'Scheduled Job Manager'.
9) Once the status of the job is 'Completed' Attribute library data should be imported into SAP TIH.
